William Tyler “Ty” Scott is an experienced Chancery attorney with firsthand knowledge of the courtroom—from private practice to serving inside the judiciary as staff attorney to the Senior Chancellor in DeSoto County.
Ty has worked daily in Chancery Court, conducting complex legal research, drafting orders and opinions, and assisting the Senior Chancellor with the resolution of hundreds of cases involving family law, estates, guardianships, and property disputes. He has also been selected to serve as a Special Master, conducting hearings on behalf of the Court. Together with his earlier work in private practice, these experiences give Ty a well-rounded understanding of both the practice of law and the administration of justice.
In addition to his legal career, Ty is a Major in the Mississippi Army National Guard with nearly two decades of service, including two overseas deployments, one of which involved leading Soldiers in a combat zone in Syria. A lifelong Mississippian, Ty and his wife, Hannah Beth, are raising their two sons in DeSoto County, where he remains committed to serving the community with fairness, preparation, and sound judgment.
